2025 Guest Mentors Paul and Carlos Meyer, award-winning comics creators, will be at the SUN CITY CHILDREN & TEENS COMIC ARTS FESTIVAL
Like most proud Nuevomexicanos, Paul & Carlos Meyer’s family lineage is not “American” by birth or immigration but rather annexation. Having spent many years in Hollywood, Paul brings an eye for the cinematic to his stories. While Carlos, having studied at Highlands University and spent time working on their grandfather’s ranch in Las Vegas New Mexico brings more of a small town and folk tale feeling to his writing. With the collaboration of Under the Cottonwood Tree the authors hope to shine a light on the culture and people of New Mexico. Hailing from the Midwest, Margaret Hardy is a movie poster designer and artist based in Hollywood. Her love of illustration, nature, folklore, and fantasy stories inspired her work on Under the Cottonwood Tree. Paul and Carlos feel that it was an honor and a blessing to have had Margaret’s stupendous talent bring life to their words.
